HWWD: Mongolian Lamb Pillows

Mongolian Lamb pillows are all the rage right now. These fluffy pillows give a room an instant spritz of sophistication with a hint of simplicity. It is not a surprise that many of these pillows have been reproduced in the market today. These are simply decorative elements no one can say no to.

However, many of those interested in lamb pillows have taken the wrong turn in terms of design. Sure, these pillows are gorgeous, but it takes a few tips to make them look more stunning when they're placed among an array of furniture. So can you decorate a space with these Mongolian Lamb pillows? Here's how we'd do it.

1. For complete sophistication and luxury, do not mix them with prints
Add them with monochromatic colors that go with the Mongolian Lamb pillows that you already have. Neutral tones such as gray, beige, tan, and even silver would look great with them.
2. Have to pillow shades that are alike, then one that is different
Take the picture above. It has two pillow shades in black and gray, and then one pillow in a coppery shade. The black and gray pillows will act as a "background" for the copper one, so that all of the attention is on the copper pillow. This way, your space will not look to dull.
3. Make sure your couch/sofa is a different texture
PLEASE do not put these pillows on a velvety couch or a faux fur-covered sofa. The textures should always compliment each other, meaning they should be opposites. Remember: opposites sometimes attract in design. Opt for a leather couch or a bench.
4. Make the colors stand out with a few copper pieces
Copper is "in" right now, so make use of that. Copper pieces like bowls and clocks will accompany the existing shades of your pillows, making them more prominent and important in the entire picture. Also, copper isn't so textured and it gives an edge to the fluffiness of the pillows. Again, opposites attract.
